| Ben Geisler | This is Coach Geisler's sixth year as head varsity football coach at Irondale High School. Ben began coaching football at Mounds View High School where he was defensive backs coach for four years. He then spent two years as defensive coordinator for the Knights before becoming the head coach. Ben has taught at Minnetonka High School, Chippewa Middle School, and Mounds View High School before coming to Irondale where he teaches biology. | Head Coach |
| Aaron Redman | Entering his eighth year coaching for the Knight's football program, Coach Redman is the varsity defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Aaron attended Bethel University where he played defensive back and then went on to be an assistant coach for the Royals for the 1999 season. Coach Redman has also coached football at Wayzata and at Minnehaha Academy. Aaron teaches in the social studies department at Irondale and is the co-head girls track coach at Mounds View High School. | Defense Coordinator |
| Jeff Horton | This is Coach Horton's sixth year on the IHS staff. Coach Horton graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In addition to his high school and college playing experience, Jeff has played professional football in Frankfurt Germany. He holds a degree in English and Social Studies and currently teaches in the Social Studies department at Irondale. | Defensive Line |
| Troy Russell | Coach Troy Russell is the running backs coach for Coach Troy Russell is the running backs coach for Irondale and this is his seventh year on the football coaching staff. After graduating from Minneapolis North High School, he went on to play wide receiver for the University of Washington. Coach Russell serves as community liaison for Irondale and is the head girls’ basketball coach at Irondale. Troy is married and has four children. | Running Backs |
| Eric Swan | Coach Eric Swan is entering his sixth year of coaching for the Irondale football team, and it will be his first as a wide receivers coach. Additionally, Coach Swan is the resident technology specialist for the Knight's football program. Eric is a 2000 graduate of Bethel University. He teaches reading and is a literacy coach at Humboldt Secondary School in St. Paul. | Wide Receivers |
| Andy Oelker | The varsity Defensive Backs and Special Teams are coached by Andy Oelker who is in his sixth year coaching for Irondale football. A 2002 graduate of Mounds View High School, Coach Oelker graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sports Management. He currently owns a commercial and residential sign company named Homegrown Sign LLC and the commercial and residential indoor air quality company Boreas. | Linebackers and Special Teams |
| Rob Reetz | Coach Reetz is entering his fourth year of teaching English at Irondale high school and 3rd as wide receivers coach for the Knights. Rob earned his Bachelors from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Masters of Arts in Education from Augsburg College. Coach Reetz lives in St. Paul with his wife Liz and daughter Grace. | Wide Receivers |
| Nick Farley | Coach Farley is in his first year coaching outside linebackers at Irondale High School. Prior to joining the staff at Irondale he spent one year as defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach at Waukon High School in Waukon, IA. During the 2008 football season Coach Farley served as co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach at Brookfield Central High School in Brookfield, WI. He began his coaching career by serving as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Northern Iowa from 2006-2008. | Josh Krebs | Josh is the defensive coordinator for the freshman football squad. This is Coach Krebs' fifth year coaching football at Irondale High School, where he is also the head wrestling coach. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 2005 and he is currently working towards a master's degree there while teaching in the Mounds View schools. | Freshmen Assistant |
| Chet Springborn | Coach Springborn begins his fifth year on the Knight's staff as an assistant coach with the freshman team. A graduate of Mahtomedi High School and St. Cloud State University, Chet previously coached for six years at Mounds View High School with their freshman and sophomore squads. | Josh Miller | Joshua is in his 3rd year at Irondale working with the freshman football team. He is a graduate of nearby Columbia Heights HS & also Bethel University where he had the privilege of playing football with both Coach Redman and Coach Geisler. He teaches Health and Physical Education at Chippewa Middle School in the Moundsview School District. Joshua resides in Minneapolis with his wife Johnell, and their three children; Anna, Micah and Noah. | Freshmen Assistant |
| Ryan Bjonfald | Coach Bjonfald is currently the O-line and D-line coach for the freshman team. He attended Hennepin Technical College and studied Auto-body. He is currently employed as a truck technician at Interstate Truck Driving School. | Fresh O-line and D-line |
| Larry Beck | This is Coach Beck’s first year with the Irondale Football program. Coach Beck has been coaching basketball at Irondale for eight years and has been the boy’s lacrosse coach for the past three. He is entering his 25th year of coaching.
