The Huddle Club makes Irondale Football great…and we need your support!
Nov 4, 2009, 9:47 pm

It is the time of year when senior players and parents reluctantly watch the 2009 Irondale Football season draw to a close.  It is also the time when a new group of leaders assume the mantle of responsibility, both on the field and behind the scenes.

We have a strong and committed group of underclassmen-parents involved in the huddle club, and great things are in store as they take the reins of the organization.

Every Irondale Football family is welcome in the Huddle Club.  It's a great way not only to support Irondale Football, but also to meet and forge relationships with other Irondale Football families who make this such a great community.

Elections are upcoming for Officer positions in the Huddle Club for the 2010 season.

Playoff Run Ends as Irondale Falls to #2 Stillwater
Nov 1, 2009, 6:57 am

The game was closer that the 42 – 21 score would indicate.  The Knights came out well-prepared and ready to play, and it eventually took three 2nd-half defensive touchdowns for Stillwater to finally put the Knights away and draw the 2009 Irondale football season to a close.   It was a perfect, crisp night for football and many of the hearty Irondale faithful donned costumes on this Halloween night, adding an extra bit of fun to the festive playoff atmosphere.  We say farewell to this group of 2009 senior players with appreciation for the heart and for the class they showed us every time they took the field, and for their “Uncommon” contribution to Irondale football.
